RVS Technology® Advanced Industrial Applications
The RVS Technology® can be applied in a large variety of mechanical equipment – you just name it!

Please note that some advanced applications even in non-industrial objects may require special knowledge. In certain cases clients
themselves without professional consultation cannot carry out the RVS treatment.
The RVS Technology® can be used in a large variety of applications in industry. Bearings, gearings, and
compressors of different kinds if at least one of the surfaces contains iron are the easiest objects to treat, but a
person acquainted with the technology may treat rails and guides of turning machines, for instance.

If there is a lubrication problem caused by heat or water, the RVS Technology® can help you to solve the problem.
Once the contact surfaces have been treated and the surface structure of the metal has been modified,
occasional contact with water or high temperature are no longer a similar threat to the mechanism.
Operational reliability is the strategic goal of all mechanical maintenance. A breakdown of a single bearing may stop a whole production
line. By using the RVS Technology®, you can improve the reliability and reduce costs related to shutdowns. Simultaneously, you can
reduce energy and spare part costs as well.

We sometimes say that if you claim you do not have problems with lubrication or wear, we can show them to you. One is often used to the
current situation where e.g.  a certain bearing must be replaced after every three months or so, and sometimes it just breaks forcing the
production line to stop. Most often the reason can, however, be identified and remidied.
In commercial vessels, there are lots of different motors both internal combustion and electric,
gearings, and bearings that can be easily treated. No general recommendation can, however, be
given because the equipment types vary a lot, and any treatment procedures should be carried out
by professionals.
By reading the translation of a test report on the effect of the RVS Technology® on marine equipment carried out by Odessa National
Maritime University, Ukraine, you find out more about the prospects of using the technology in certain types of marine equipment.

In diesel locomotives the main engines are usually relatively easy to treat with the RVS Technology®. You
can increase the inter-repair interval of parts exposed to friction, reduce energy consumption by 7 to 15
percent, reduce dynamic loads on shaft supports and exhaust toxicity, and if the engine is worn, restore
its effective power. As a whole, in some cases it is possible to reduce the operational costs even by 50
percent. In both diesel and electric locomotives, you can treat the driving gearboxes and the bearings
related to them and the wheel axles.
Read more about the practical use of the RVS Technology in locomotives in a translation of a test report carried out in China and Russia.
The tests were carried out during a period of over three years.

In passenger cars, there are plenty of mechanisms and joints that can be treated with the
RVS Technology®: internal combustion engines, manual gearboxes, differentials, power
steering, air conditioner, bearings, and – quite amazingly – brake discs (for which product is
available only for professional mechanics and engineers). Call us for an example of the effect
of an RVS Technology® treatment on the technical condition of a fairly old and worn
passenger car engine.
Other Applications
In motorcycles, four-stroke engines can be treated practically with the same methods as in passenger cars, pick-up trucks
and vans. If the gearbox and the clutch are lubricated by the same oil as the engine, special attention must be paid on using
all the gears as equally as possible during the first 1.5 to 2 hours of operation after the RVS Technology® compound has
been applied in the engine. The drive chain and the wheel bearings can be treated as well. After treating the chain, you can
see the result of the ferro silicate surface structure formation with your own eyes: the color of the chain becomes noticeably
lighter.

Note! Treating two-stroke engines is possible but a bit more complicated. Contact us for more detailed information.
From the RVS Technology® point of view, there is practically no difference between tractor and other engines and
transmissions. However, convert the required mileage to hours (e.g. 250 miles to 8 h). Additionally, in tractors there are
usually different hydraulic systems that can also be treated with the RVS Technology®. A qualified specialist must
accomplish such treatments.
In heavy-duty transportation, in addition to engines and transmissions the hydraulic systems can also be treated with the
RVS Technology®. A qualified specialist must accomplish such treatments.
The treatment procedures differ depending on the boat type. In small boats with outboard engines, the transmission
including the propeller shaft bearing can be treated. If the engine itself is a four-stroke, it can be treated easily with the
packages made for automobile use. Treating two-stroke engines is a bit more complicated and should be carried out by a
qualified specialist.

In larger boats with a four-stroke engine inside, the engine can be treated with the packages made for automobile use.
Some transmissions may be treated with the packages made for automobile transmission use, but the rule cannot be
generalised to cover all the boat transmission types. However, most – if not all – transmission types can be treated with the
RVS Technology®.
In bicycles, especially in bicycle racing, every single extra stamp is too much. The power loss caused by wheel and pedal
bearings and chains can be reduced with the RVS Technology®. After treating the chain, you can see the result of the ferro
silicate surface structure formation with your own eyes: the colour of the chain becomes noticeably lighter.
All kinds of roller bearings can be easily treated with the RVS Technology® provided the surfaces contain iron. They can
usually be treated most effectively with the RVS Technology® Professional Gel.
