Our engineers have designed solutions for all types of clients, including Department of the Army, US Marines, Canadian Armed Forces, RCMP
(Royal Canadian Mounted Police), PDO (Petroleum Division of Oman), Schlumberger, Tyco, Diebold, Shell Oil, US Air Force, Santa Maria
International Airport, L-3 Communications, banks, hotels, retail and commercial clients.

All our solutions are based on the industries newest and most advanced video compression codec H.264, and offer perfectly synchronized
two-way audio with every channel of video. The H.264 is the latest video compression technology standard, which was industry ratified in 2004,
whereas older MJPEG, MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 encoding technologies were ratified in 1992, 1994 and 1998 respectively. In the most basic of terms,
H.264 provides higher quality video with perfectly synchronized audio with less latency and lower bitrates (smaller file sizes) than any of the older
compression technologies in use today. H.264 has been adopted by organizations like; The US Department of Defense, NATO, Apple Computers,
HDTV, Direc TV, Dish Networks, Sony, Panasonic, BlueRay DVD, etc.
In general video systems are designed to provide the remote operator live video and recorded video evidence of incidents. The key considerations
to be considered in any video system are:

  1. Quality of the live video
  2. Quality of the playback video
  3. Expandability and diversity
  4. Ease of use
  5. Latency of the displayed video
All our solutions are designed and engineered embracing the above considerations from the
perspective of soldiers, by retired soldiers, with the following operational requirements in mind.

Ease of set-up
Ease of training
Ease of configuration
Ease of expandability
Ease of fault finding and repair
Increased fault tolerance
Ease of use
Lower cost for replacement cameras
Broader range of cameras
Broader range in camera environmental specification
Hybrid video capture system (Analog video and IP video)
Tallcoat FD-VAS (Fast Deployment-Video/Audio System) has been designed to all of the above operational requirements. Focus is on high
quality video images, low latency, fast deployment, re-deployment, expandability and ease of use. The time required from the opening of
the Video System Control Enclosure to fully operational recording and monitoring on all channels is approximately 120 seconds + camera
deployment time.

Concert Hybrid DVR/NVR (Digital Video Recorder/Network Video Recorder) solution enables video to be sourced from both analog
cameras and IP encoding devices (IP cameras, IP encoders, Embedded DVR). The Hybrid DVR/NVR server can be expanded to record 64
channels per server. The H.264 encoding hardware and software is superior to older technologies; it offers a significant increase in image
quality, reduction in file size, increased functionality, more effective network accessibility, and a dramatic increase in deployable options.

The Concert Hybrid DVR/NVR software utilized as the management software in the Medius PC based DVR/NVR systems is a Hybrid
Recording platform. Hybrid means it can record from traditional PCI H.264 encoding cards and from network connected H.264 IP cameras,
IP encoders and Embedded DVRs. This gives the system in the field the ability to access both local and remote video sources and to
transmit video both locally and remotely.

The Concert software in addition to its LCD screen display can decode all the video inputs, both analog and IP, and display them through
analog video display outputs. The analog video display outputs can be connect to any CCTV monitor, LCD TV, Plasma TVs, LCD projectors,
etc. The Concert software is a Virtual Matrix solution providing digital video recording and analog display all from one system all at the
same time. The viewing experience is superior in terms of quality and situational awareness.

Fast Deployment Video Audio System - FD-VAS
Options at the end of the PVD cable are:

Any fixed camera
Any PTZ camera
Cameras with IR illuminators
External IR illuminators
Thermal cameras (fixed or PTZ)
Enclosures with heater and blower for extended temperature ranges.
Long zoom lenses can be controlled through the data wires to enable fixed or PTZ
cameras system to have zoom lenses from 10-2000mm. This allows motion
detection of up to 13 Miles and personnel identification up to 7 Miles.
Ancillary equipment
Pan Tilt Zoom (PTZ) Camera Housing
We recommended field deployable solution for camera connectivity is to use the DVR method with simple Power/Video/Data cable (PVD) installed
between any fixed or PTZ camera. This configuration enables simple, reliable and robust deployment with cable lengths of 500M and with enough
power to drive higher power devices such as PTZ, IR illuminators, White lights, heaters/blowers, and ancillary equipment.
